It is produced in high-altitude areas following the temporary transfer of beehives (nomadism) between the Viggianello greenhouse and Piano Ruggio, in the heart of the Pollino National Park, at an altitude between 1400 and 1600 meters above sea level.
Characteristics
Color: light to slightly amber;
Smell: delicate floral, slightly sharp;
Taste: distinctive and very pleasant;
Aroma: delicate, medium intensity;
Crystallization: medium to fine, with the first cold spells.
This honey has a particularly pleasant taste, to be enjoyed as is or to accompany herbal teas and infusions; it is also excellent for more common uses, such as spread on bread, cookies, or rusks, for a healthy and authentic breakfast that brings the senses back to the aromas of the Pollino peaks.
