The pepper plant is not a tree but a vine from the Piperaceae family, native to the Malabar coast. In the wild, in forests, growing along a tree trunk, pepper grew in the Kerala province of India. Plants were later transported and cultivated in tropical areas such as Brazil, Madagascar, and Asian countries.

Our Kampot peppers come from a farm certified Organic EcoCERT Fair Trade and carry the Organic Label in the European market.
