Ottinetti – 40 cm Rectangular Blue Steel Tray
The Ottinetti rectangular blue steel tray is made from steel with a very high iron content. It is particularly suitable for baking products such as pizza, schiacciata, and focaccia. It produces a beautifully golden, perfectly crisp crust.
“Blue steel” refers to high-iron-content steel coated with a blue protective layer against rust. Before first use, this oil-based coating must be removed by placing the tray in the oven for 30 minutes at 150 °C. Thereafter, this type of tray should always be kept lightly oiled.

It was in Baveno, a small village on the shores of Lake Maggiore, that Italo Ottinetti, returning from the war, decided in 1920 to open a small factory where aluminum was processed through a complete production cycle, from melting the ingot to the finished product.
In its early days, the company handcrafted high-quality kitchen utensils and cutlery, which M. Ottinetti sold himself while traveling throughout Italy.
In 1971, the company Italo Ottinetti modernized and installed one of the first modern, more environmentally friendly systems, featuring a washing system that recycled cleaning water.
All products are 100% made in Italy. Production is carried out using aluminum with a purity of over 99%.
