CAMPISI - Cherry Tomato Sauce with Pachino Basil IGP 220g
Description
The Pachino I.G.P. cherry tomato is small in size; when ripe, it has a good acidity compared to the sugars present, making it excellent for sauce production. The processing has remained the same as traditionally passed down by the locals for generations.
The production area for Pachino IGP tomatoes includes the municipalities of Pachino, Portopalo di Capo Passero, Noto, and Ispica, in the provinces of Syracuse and Ragusa, in the Sicily region. The first Pachino IGP tomato crops date back to 1925 and were located along the coastal strip, on farms that could access irrigation water from groundwater wells. One of the characteristics of the Pachino PGI tomato is its shelf life, which exceeds that of other tomato varieties.
Ingredients: Pachino IGP cherry tomato (98%), onion (0.7%), olive oil, Sicilian sea salt, sugar, basil (0.5%).
May contain traces of crustaceans, fish, soy, and nuts.
