Cloves, a long-time monopoly of Portuguese and Dutch companies, grow mainly by the sea. Introduced to Madagascar and Zanzibar in the 18th century, these two places are now major producers. Often used in Europe stuck in the onion of the stew, clove is also one of the wonderful spices of Chai tea or meat and vegetable broths. Our cloves have beautiful heads, a sign of a perfect clove with intense flower scents.
