ORANESSENCE - Palm Flower Sugar 300g

Description

Originating from Cambodia, where the soil is particularly suited for sugar palms (not to be confused with oil palms) to thrive, this sugar is traditionally made from the juice of Palm Flowers.

It has a low glycemic index - below 30 - because it contains no glucose (sucrose 87.7%, fructose 2.6%, minerals, and amino acids). It is widely used in Asian cuisine, especially in Thailand, for making curries, sauces, and pastries. It gives a unique crispness to cookies and develops surprising aromas of honey, sap, and vanilla.

You can use it absolutely everywhere; it can easily replace refined white sugar if you prefer sugars with flavor.

Ingredient: 100% palm sugar

Allergens: In our workshop, we handle the following allergens: mustard, sesame, peanut, tree nuts, celery, sulfites (natural presence: garlic, onion, shallot). We take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination. However, traces of these allergens may remain.
