ORANESSENCE - Coconut Flower Sugar 300g
Description
Unrefined coconut sugar is obtained from the sap of the coconut flower stalks. It contains vitamins and minerals; mainly polyphenols, potassium, zinc, and iron.
Its strongly caramelized flavor makes it a choice ingredient to enhance your crumbles, chutneys, salted butter caramels...
Note that there is some disagreement about its glycemic index. Previously considered low, some studies suggest it is 54; which is still high compared to white sugar, which has a glycemic index of 68.
