VIVANDERA - Red Pizzutello Piennolo del Vesuvio tomato clusters 580g
Description
Sweet flavor, no acidity, high vitamin content. The Piennolo del Vesuvio PDO is better known as Pizzutello due to its characteristic pointed shape. It is a cherry tomato grown in the Vesuvius National Park, on the slopes of the crater, benefiting from the volcanic soil and all the mineral substances it contains. The name "Piennolo" comes from the traditional preservation technique, where the "Piennoli" (whole clusters) of tomatoes, harvested between July and August, are stored hanging in dry and ventilated places, giving the product its incomparable sweetness and typical tangy aftertaste. The "pizzutello" is preserved either whole in its natural state or as "pacchetelle," meaning cut into strips and preserved in its own juice in both red and yellow varieties. 580 g net
