A hot chili pepper picked at full maturity and sun-dried. The Pili-Pili has a sweet and powerful flavor. Its heat is rated 9/10 on the Scoville scale; it should therefore be handled with care.
If you enjoy spicy oils, sauces, or stews, it will be your ally! Start with 1 chili to gauge its heat. If you leave it whole, it will be less intense because the capsaicin is contained in the seeds and inner membrane. We recommend using an infuser if you don’t want to bite into a piece of chili that might be lost in your dish.
