L'ORTO DI BEPPE - Jalapeño 90g

The jalapeño pepper, or simply jalapeño, is a Mexican variety of chili pepper (Capsicum annuum)1, a condiment plant from the nightshade family.
It is named after its city of origin, Xalapa, a city in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Its color is green or red, depending on its ripeness. Harvesting takes place about 70 days after sowing, and each plant produces about thirty fruits.
The jalapeño measures between 5 and 9 cm. It rates 2,500 to 8,000 on the Scoville scale, which corresponds to a medium heat level.
