Description
Dukkah - pronounced "douka" - is a roasted blend of seeds and spices originating from the Middle East. It is very popular in Egypt, as well as in Lebanon, Australia, and South Africa.
We created our dukkah blend using hazelnuts and almonds from Italy. To these, we added, among others, sesame seeds, coriander, cumin... paprika, Guérande sea salt flakes, and black pepper from Madagascar. It is a very rich and refined blend that adds a "kick" to the simplest dishes.
Description
Traditionally enjoyed with bread dipped in olive oil (Egyptian flatbread), dukkah is perfect as an appetizer. It can also be sprinkled on meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, salads, or starches to add crunch and flavor. Best used at the end of cooking or when plating. Can be crushed or ground for breading.
